Please review the calendar of events for the next several months and discuss upcoming events with your Scout. I have heard Scouts say they need to check with their parents before they can commit to the event.  Sign ups are at meetings and Scouts need to know if they can participate

Welcome !
Troop 85 serves Fox Lake IL and the surrounding communities. Through our active boys, active parents, and active leaders we maintain a fun, safe environment that teaches our young men the values and morals they need to become outstanding citizens in our community and nation.

Troop 85 meets at 7:00 PM every Tuesday at St. Bedes church, located at the intersection of Grand Ave. and Wilson Rd. in Ingleside. (map)

Summertime meeting location
As usual, Troop 85 will be changing the location for our weekly meetings during the summer months. Once again we will be meeting at the rear shelter in Grant forest preserve. The first meeting at the summertime location will be June 17th.

Because we need to be out of the preserve parking lot before closing time the weekly meeting starts a half hour earlier, at 6:30 PM. Parents, please remember that your Scout also needs to be picked up a half hour earlier, too!

It will be summertime and we'll be outdoors, so it should be no surprise that bugs in general and mosquitoes in particular will be troublesome. Be sure to bring/wear insect repellent (non-aerosol only!). Also, we can't count on the water fountain to be working, so you may wish to bring your own water or other beverage.

Why join scouting?
Scouting reinforces the skills and values we want our sons to learn while they're having fun. Click the Joining tab for more reasons.

How do I Join?
Boy Scouting is open to any boy between the ages of 11 and 18. For more information please feel free to drop us an email or visit one of our weekly meetings.

Scouting is for parents, too!
Active, committed Leaders and parents are the heart and soul of a successful Troop. You don't need to have any special abilities to make a huge difference in a young man's life. Volunteer to help at one of our many events; you'll be glad you did!

Parents are encouraged to come in and listen to announcements during closing at 8:15pm.
