Please review the calendar of events for the next several months and discuss upcoming events with your Scout. I have heard Scouts say they need to check with their parents before they can commit to the event.  Sign ups are at meetings and Scouts need to know if they can participate

Welcome !
Troop 85 serves Fox Lake IL and the surrounding communities. Through our active boys, active parents, and active leaders we maintain a fun, safe environment that teaches our young men the values and morals they need to become outstanding citizens in our community and nation.

Troop 85 meets at 6:30 PM every Tuesday at Grant woods forest preserve, located past the intersection of Grand Ave. and Old Monaville Rd. in Ingleside. (map of St Bede Location) (

Change of meeting location

Summer's almost here! Which means that the troop will be meeting at Grant Woods Forest Preserve.  We use the entrance off of old Monaville road, and go to the farthest parking lot.  We meet under the pavilion and use the adjacent field during the meeting.  Please remember to bring a water bottle, a class B shirt, and non aerosol bug spray.  Also remember that the meeting starts at 6:30 PM (6 P.M. PLC) and ends at 8:00 P.M.

Road America Campout Pictures

Photos of the Road America Campout have been uploaded.  If anyone else has pictures from the campout please send them to Mr. Andeson so they can be placed on the troop website.
Easy Fund Raiser!
Please bring your empty printer cartridges to Troop meetings! The Troop can now earn $ for them!!

Why join scouting?
Scouting reinforces the skills and values we want our sons to learn while they're having fun. Click the Joining tab for more reasons.

How do I Join?
Boy Scouting is open to any boy between the ages of 11 and 18. For more information please feel free to drop us an email or visit one of our weekly meetings.

Scouting is for parents, too!
Active, committed Leaders and parents are the heart and soul of a successful Troop. You don't need to have any special abilities to make a huge difference in a young man's life. Volunteer to help at one of our many events; you'll be glad you did!

Parents are encouraged to come in and listen to announcements during closing at 8:15pm.
